Shoreline Foundation Inc, (SFI), was contracted by Derecktor Ft. Pierce to construct all of the marine infrastructure for their brand new full service maintenance, repair, refit and new construction facility designed specifically for megayachts. This new facility is unlike any other in the United States and SFI was selected to provide the best in specialty marine construction services necessary to transform this concept into a reality.

Designed by the coastal and marine engineering firm of Cummins Cederberg, the project requires the installation of 286 auger cast piles, each 18” in diameter and 65 feet in depth, driving 526 lineal feet of steel sheet pile 45 feet in length, the excavation of 11,000 cubic yards to create a slip for use by the world’s largest mobile hoist with a lifting capacity of 1500 tons. SFI is constructing the enormous relieving platform built with over 70 tons of steel rebar and 820 cubic yards of concrete, which in combination with the auger cast foundation piles, will support the load of the mobile hoist and it’s precious megayacht cargo.

“The Derecktor Ft. Pierce Megayacht Facility exemplifies the best in the specialty marine and deep foundation construction services as provided by Shoreline Foundation”, said SFI company President, James Royo. “We are proud to have been selected by Derecktor to build the infrastructure to their exacting specifications and wish them great success with this world class megayacht facility.”
