Project Narrative (Scope of Work): This project includes two (2) Phases (Phases A & B). Phase A includes a new precast concrete wharf structure. The wharf includes precast piles and panels which are incorporated into a cast-in-place concrete seawall. The wharf shall extend westward from the seawall incorporating precast concrete piles, girders and planks which shall be set in place and consolidated with a concrete topping slab. Phase B includes a new precast concrete marina structure. SFI shall demolish the existing precast concrete seawall; and install new precast piles and panels which are incorporated into a cast-in-place concrete seawall. Following, the existing dock structures shall be demolished; and, new mooring & dolphin precast concrete piles shall be installed, followed by new aluminum floating dock structures. Phase B shall incorporate three (3) separate phases, incorporating land and barge mobilizations, to allow the University to maintain use of the marina while construction is ongoing.
