Rybovich, one of the oldest marine establishments in Florida, provides yacht refitting and refinishing services at their sprawling 13+ acre state-of-the-art facility located on the intracoastal waterway in West Palm Beach, Florida. In 2004, under the direction of new ownership, plans were announced for the a $100 million dollar mixed use development that included construction of residential and retail facilities and redevelopment of the marina. The marina redesign resulted in the creation of 149 deep water wet slips to accommodate megayachts up to 300 feet in length and 125 dry slips on the upland, (with provision for 7 yachts up to 200 feet).

Shoreline Foundation was selected as part of the development team to perform the first phase of the marina redevelopment. To accommodate the needs of the 660 ton marine Travelift, the largest such lift in Florida, and the smaller 150 ton marine Travelift, SFI built massive support structure piers designed to support the enormous load generated by lifting and moving enormous vessels. Additionally, we installed approximately 2,000 lineal feet of steel sheet pile, formed and poured a concrete collar for a 60 inch outfall through the steel pile bulkhead, and constructed a 600 foot long by 10 foot wide concrete breakwater. The breakwater serves to protect marginal floating docks which run the length of the breakwater.

In 2007, Rybovich was awarded the designation of “Clean Marina” after having exceeded the requirements set forth by the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation. Shoreline Foundation is proud to provide marine construction services that help our marina clients qualify for this designation.
