Shoreline Foundation, Inc. (SFI) was contracted by Plaza Construction for the Las Marinas Project in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, to provide demolition and installation services. The project involved the demolition of the old seawall and overhanging pool deck, followed by the installation of pre-stressed concrete piles, steel sheet piling, and concrete caps. Divided into three segments—north, south, and northeast—the north and south seawalls were completed approximately 30 days ahead of schedule, while the northeast segment remains in environmental permitting. The north seawall included the demolition of 718 linear feet of seawall cap and 10,000 square feet of concrete pool deck overhang, followed by the installation of 718 linear feet of steel sheet pile driven to a depth of -26 feet, a 2'6" x 1'6" concrete cap, and 718 cubic yards of boulder riprap. The south seawall involved similar work, with 457 linear feet of steel sheet pile, a new concrete cap, and 457 cubic yards of riprap along the water side.
