Shoreline Foundation provides crucial support to the entities responsible for maintaining safe access to, and the operation of, our ports and harbors. Harbors include entrance channels, interior channels and support facilities for supplying and repairing vessels. Natural harbors occur where land and water converges in such a way as to protect vessels from wind and waves.

Harbors can also be constructed using jetties and breakwaters to provide protection for ships. Ports are land facilities constructed to transfer goods between water and land. They consist of docks or berths where vessels moor, provide connections to land transportation and include large areas for the storage of shipping containers and other cargo. By facilitating commerce, ports and harbors are key to the health of our national economy. Shoreline Foundation is committed to providing the best marine construction services to insure the vitality of these national assets.
